Meredith Decker, PhD, LAT, ATC, PES

Meredith Decker, PhD, LAT, ATC, PES is a Clinical Assistant Professor and Coordinator of Clinical Education in the Master of Science in Athletic Training Program at the University of Texas at Arlington. She received her BS in Athletic Training from California University of Pennsylvania, MS in Exercise Physiology from Kent State University, and PhD in Kinesiology from the University of Texas at Arlington. Prior to her tenure at UT-Arlington, she was an Athletic Training Resident at Texas Health Sports Medicine, where she worked in the rehabilitation clinic and with TCU Athletics. During her time as a Resident, she collaborated on several clinical research projects involving ACL and UCL injuries. She continued to study functional outcomes following ACL reconstruction during her PhD program. Meredith’s additional research interests involve concussion outcomes and LGBTQIA+ population health. She resides in Fort Worth, Texas with her wife Halee and their son Arlo.
